YOU WOOD THINK?
World Cup Rule Changes And Real Life Costs
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Cover your mouth on the soccer field and you might get a red card now. That’s where we start, because the closer we get to the World Cup, the more the sport tries to speed things up and clamp things down. We dig into the weird logic behind punishing mouth-covering, the new five-second limits on goal kicks and throw-ins, and how rules that sound simple can get messy the moment refs have to enforce them. We also hit the fan side of big tournaments, including water bottle rules and why overpriced “basic needs” at events has been a problem for decades.
Then the conversation swings through the wider sports world: Canada’s friendly against Ireland, a goalie who flat-out saves the day, and the kind of broadcast fail that makes you want to throw your remote when recordings cut off the last minutes. We also talk about crowd noise and how modern highlights can feel suspiciously polished. From there we touch on international politics affecting athletes, including the Iranian team’s travel complications, and how fans can support players without excusing governments.
The biggest shift is real life. We get into Canada’s new grocery benefit and essentials support, and the statistic that lands like a punch: roughly a quarter of the country qualifies. We talk food banks, wages that don’t keep up, power bills that keep climbing, and the quiet ways people are adjusting just to get through the year. We close with NBA Finals talk: Wemby’s decision-making, Knicks poise, coaching pressure with Popovich looming, and why 15-point comebacks aren’t rare anymore in the three-point era. Subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review, then tell us what hit you hardest from this one.

Welcome And Sponsor Read
SPEAKER_02Hey everybody, welcome back to You Would Think with uh Bobby D and Mikey D. And of course, what's right here, Mike?
SPEAKER_03Our sponsor, W.G.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and try that all kinds of cool things. And right here, if you use our uh code Bobby. Almost got me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Mikey D for 10% off on any and all offers. And we go, oh, oh, look at Yes, a stray fox running around the house.
SPEAKER_00That's it, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Mike and Mike and his wife taking all kinds of animals. That's why I'm allowed in.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So okay. So there we go. Sponsor, anyway.
World Cup Timing And New Rules
SPEAKER_02So a lot going on in the world of soccer. A little soccer stuff. All right.
SPEAKER_03So what's what's the date today?
SPEAKER_02Uh whatever it is.
SPEAKER_03The 11th is when it starts, right?
SPEAKER_02Uh uh 5th, 6th, 7th. Okay. 7th. So four days away. Remember, we gotta couple games at Vancouver you gotta go to. That's right. So all the planes booked and everything's good to go. We're good to go. All right. Anyway, so I was looking up some of the soccer stuff. I was like, I wonder if there's any new rules. Because you know, usually when the World Cup goes out there, there is.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02And I I wanted to make sure I said them right, so I got them printed on the cards as usual, because you know I'm moron. So this is very interesting, but you played soccer too, so you'll appreciate this, actually. All right. So, first of all, this is one's weird though. So if you if you and I are in separate teams and we're having a, you know, we do this, we cover our mouth, the fuck fuck you, Michael. Red card. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03What's the why? Actually, isn't it better? Because now the cameras aren't.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's what I was thinking. I didn't read into it, but they go what all the athletes do now.
SPEAKER_03They cover their motion.
SPEAKER_02Because there's lip leaders.
SPEAKER_03Yes, I know.
SPEAKER_02Right? And sometimes you tell them to play and LeBron doesn't know it. Right. Okay, so that's one. So here's another. This is a good one, though.
SPEAKER_03That's that's a you know, that's the one thing that's like, you know, that's a lie. There's one guy that knows every play. It's it's LeBron. It's LeBron. Yeah. But anyway, I think that's a stupid rule. But anyway, yeah, I thought red cards are harsh. Red card's a little harsh. So the goal kicker. Well, that's just right.
SPEAKER_01Like, you know, okay, like, you know, you're you're sure.
SPEAKER_03If you go up to the ref and you cover your mouth and you're sitting there calling them, you're a you're a blind mother. We can still hear you. Yeah. Right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Can you hear me? Yeah. Like, what? Like, come on, man. You know, well, you've seen that they have the uh the people doing the sign language on the cyber referees doing something. And by the way, a lot of those they say you're wrong.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_02There was one guy I bet you said he's on OnlyFans. What?
SPEAKER_03There was one guy that was like a translator and he was on, and like I guess it was like it was just gibberish. Like, total total boy. No idea. And he did, and he was more than once like, you know, and it was like it was a it wasn't like for a sports, uh, it wasn't for a sporting event, it was uh, you know, somebody somebody was out giving a speech and he was on the local television. Oh right. Good lord. Anyway, somebody called in and said, That's not sign language.
SPEAKER_02Well, a lot of people don't know all sign language comes from France. It started there. Okay, yeah. And they say that it's different everywhere, too.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02So, like, how do you have an accent in sign language? It's weird, yeah. So it's like regional, there's regional dialect. Yeah. You just swore to me in Italian. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Crazier. How would you know that? Only only uh people we can't say deaf, it's hearing impaired. So sorry. We're old, we say stupid shit. We do. Uh goal kick, only five seconds. You get five seconds to kick that ball. Because you know, a lot of people start stalling for five seconds. Yellow card. Throw in five seconds for a throw. Because you've seen this one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, you know, and then the guys keep walking.
SPEAKER_03Five seconds from the moment they're handing the ball.
SPEAKER_02I guess the moment they're handing the ball, they pick the ball up.
SPEAKER_03Five seconds from from because that's like for a goal kick, like five seconds from putting the ball down. That's not a lot of time to get back in the spot and then so I can get your momentum to take your kick, right? Like, so uh yeah, so I is it five seconds? Yeah, I don't know. Once again, I didn't read the reason.
SPEAKER_02Like you'd have to go read the five seconds from what?
SPEAKER_03That's what I have to go read. Because that that seems like it's way too because essentially it's like, okay, well, you got to give the guy a little bit of time to like know where he wants to put the ball down.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, I know, right? Right, right. Because you're allowed to put it on different spots.
SPEAKER_03So again, is if it's five seconds from putting the ball down, then sure, don't put the ball down until you're ready to kick that, right?
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly. Anyway, we'll have to see the rule. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, throw okay. There was a couple more. I didn't bother talking about those ones, though, but here's another one. So remember, this is Canada, right? So FIFA said you can bring your own water bottles, and then they're like, well, that's not a good idea.
SPEAKER_03Well, they originally said no, then they changed their mind. They said yes. Yes, yeah, right. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Uh what? Yeah. With rules. There are what I don't know what the specific rules are about.
SPEAKER_02Because now they can't buy alcohol in your bottle, right?
SPEAKER_03Oh, 100%. Well, not just that, like they'll they're selling probably probably bottles of water at these things, right? Well, somebody was that music festival was I think it was Woodstock back when we were young. Maybe it was the second one that they did in the 2000s. Um sorry, the third one. The second one was in 1990.
SPEAKER_02They go easy, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh anyway, they they were selling water bottles, like a bottle, a small bottle of water for like $15 a bottle or whatever, right? Like something, some or $10 anyway. Something crazy like that, right? Yeah, and these guys are all dehydrating at this concert because nobody's wanting to spend the money on water, right?
SPEAKER_02I watched the video. My buddy Herschel, Herschel, if you're watching, I know you still watch us, Herschel's from South Africa. I work with him in Malaysia. He showed me a video of a South African uh corner shop, and it shows like out front it's got these beautiful uh water dispenser, you know, it's all nice and the nice cool, and then it you follow it. And the tube goes into the toilet in the back of the shop. Gross. Yeah. And I'm like, what he goes, yeah, they're all like that.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_02Because it looks, you know,
Water Bottles And Price Gouging
SPEAKER_02it looks like it's a water dism. Nope. And I'm like, okay, don't drink the water in South Africa, sir. Uh anyway, so uh we've had a if you didn't know, uh uh our Canadian team had a couple of friendlies. Uh we just played Ireland.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I saw that.
SPEAKER_02Now Ireland's not in the World Cup because they're terrible. Uh sorry, Connor.
SPEAKER_03Ireland, they like I remember when we were young. They were decent. They were good.
SPEAKER_02They were always there, they were always like they didn't make they're 59th, they're ranked 59th. But anyway, so the game they play was a good game, it was 1-1. And Mike, say the goaltender's name.
SPEAKER_03Maxime Krapau, something like that. Yeah, Crapo, yeah. Crapo? Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So this guy stood on his head. He saved a penalty shot to save the game.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02And he played half the game the game was. Uh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So he's real good. Yeah. He's real good.
SPEAKER_03We should have been able to beat the 60th or 59th right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we should have been able to, right? But I don't know if we're playing our full team or how that's going either.
SPEAKER_03But uh, you know, a week out from the World War.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the goaltender stood on his head, which I was impressed. I watched some of the highlights of that game. It was pretty cool. Um, I also, wow.
Canada Friendlies And DVR Rage
SPEAKER_02Shout out to Bell. You can suck it. Bell did this twice to me, bro. I I I recorded the games, both Spurs and Nick's. The last six minutes cuts off.
SPEAKER_03Because it's uh because it's on the time. Oh, that's weird. Oh, because you're because what it's doing is it's uh it's when you hit record, it's only recording for the allotted time that actually is on the schedule. If you look, so you almost need to actually like then tape the first hour of the next show that I'm like uh what it's like so then I had to go on that's been around forever because that's you set up the code, and it's it's the schedule the game's scheduled for two hours on that. The game goes for two hours and ten hours.
SPEAKER_02It always goes on, but so then put it in a longer slot, you prick.
SPEAKER_03No shit, right?
SPEAKER_02Right, so yeah, it got me, so I had to go online.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, because I guess like some of the states, they would have all the uh like um you know the post-game shows that would still all be part of that whole same broadcast, right? They don't hear as soon as the game's over, they're switching to the switch, sometimes not even.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, so yeah, it got me again, right? But brutal man. We'll get back to that in a minute. Yeah, but uh another thing too, uh with the with the basketball, I noticed when like TSN or ESPN, I don't know who I'm watching. I'm watching Sports Center, so I don't know who that is.
SPEAKER_03It's TSN. Okay, you'd be watching TSN, but it's I think ESPN owns TSN.
SPEAKER_02Right, okay. So I'm watching the highlights of different things. And I was watching basketball highlights, and I'm like, okay, so they're playing in this arena. Now I don't mean recently, not the two finals, okay, but like the whole all the way through the playoffs, and I forgot to mention this, dude. I'm like, okay, like my eyes don't work so good, my ears are real good, right? What? So when I'm listening, I'm like, somebody is playing with the overlay. Because when I score on your net, and when you score on my net, I'm like, no, there's no way it's the same sound for the you know what I mean, for like the away team. There's no way, and I'm like, okay, and I'm listening very carefully, and it's the same, because you know I work with this a lot, I do this shit. So I'm like, I know what's going on here. So they're putting to make it sound like it's everybody's cheering, it's the same sound bite for both sides, okay? You're doing this anyway.
SPEAKER_03Depends on the fan base, though. Like, there are it does now.
SPEAKER_02LA now we just talked about how many New York France are. There are some hard. Hang on to that. We're we're gonna we're gonna get to the basketball at the end of the show. Yeah, but yeah, you're right, but not for these. No, like it's obvious. I'm like, no way. This you know, it's like seven.
SPEAKER_03You're not gonna have people not gonna have a bunch of folks from Sacramento traveling down to Miami.
SPEAKER_02No, well, it's like you know, the that
Fake Crowd Noise In Highlights
SPEAKER_02MVP promotion on Netflix. You're like, oh, look at all the people. Oops! Yeah, yeah. Everybody stand closer. Yeah, right? Same idea. Yeah, okay. So anyway, the highlights of the the the NHL Canes Predators game last night was bananas. Did you see that? The they're gonna be this nights, yeah. Yeah, yeah, four-nothing. The other team came back to score three goals, the quickest in the history of the NHL in 39 seconds or something, three goals.
SPEAKER_03So I went to bed last night, it was midway through the second, and it was still 0-0.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, crazy.
SPEAKER_03So I woke up and it was 5-4 in overtime. Yeah, exactly. Which for Vegas, yeah. So I'm cheering for the Canes and I'm cheering for the Canes for one specific reason, and that is because my in-laws live down in in North Carolina. That's right. Huge Canes fans, so I will cheer for the Canes when my team's not winning.
SPEAKER_02We don't care if they're inbred, they're from deliverance.
SPEAKER_03But uh, you know, one of the same same problems I have is in it's I get it, it doesn't matter. These guys, this is where these guys are from.
SPEAKER_02But again, it's like, you know, Carolina and Vegas, you know, good hockey towns, my Florida is Florida between the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
SPEAKER_03Like, I mean, goddamn, man, like all these southern states or like anyway. It's like, come on, man.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's like when Wayne Gretzky went to the Los Angeles Kings, we're like, that's not hockey. No, right?
SPEAKER_03Oh, he blew the hockey up for the Kings, though.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he sure did.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he sure did.
SPEAKER_02Then that guy that bought him went to jail, remember? Oh my god. Anyway,
Wild NHL Game And Hockey Towns
SPEAKER_02the big fat dude with the Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That him, there's him. Remember him and Gretzky and who was the third guy? They kind of bought a steak in the aloettes there. I don't know, there was all kinds of problems there. The Alloettes, not the Montreal Allo S, the Toronto team.
SPEAKER_02Gretzky is the greatest restaurant in Toronto.
SPEAKER_03The Toronto CFL team. What's the name of their team?
SPEAKER_02Argonauts.
SPEAKER_03There we go. God, it wasn't coming to me. Anyway, the Argonauts, yes.
SPEAKER_02Don't do drugs, kids. Yeah. So yeah, yeah, Argonauts. Nobody wants the CFL. So anyway, I thought that was a CFL. I did.
SPEAKER_03When I lived in Edmonton, I watched the CFL.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm gonna be honest, I watched the CFL too. Right. Yeah. All right. Um, oh yeah, today, I don't know if you noticed, Mike. I got my IQ. Or what? Yeah, I put my shirt off my IQ. Yeah. Right? Solid. This is uh, everybody knows if you know, Bo Jackson. You don't know Bo. That's right. Bo knows everything. Um, all right, so World Cup. I thought that was pretty good with Tyler Island, but way to go goaltender there. So it's fantastic. Yeah, um, I was reading, Mike, another dry hot summer, it says.
SPEAKER_03So let's let's one more thing on the World Cup before we go to that. What do you got? Do you see what's going on with the Iranian team?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I forgot.
SPEAKER_02So poor Iranian man.
SPEAKER_03So they're being based, they have to, they're basing out of Mexico.
SPEAKER_02No, wait, wait, I have to get a shout-out. Our boy's Iranian, right? Pardia, our tech guy. Yeah. And he's not happy with a lot of shit going on. Well, why would you be, right? Uh put the Glock down, son. Yeah, sure thing, boss. I got it.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, so they're based out of they're they're being based out of Mexico, which means on the day of their games, they've got two games in the States.
SPEAKER_02Why is there a laser dun? What? Go ahead. What? Never mind. Somebody's got laser on you through the window.
SPEAKER_03I'll have no idea, man. Yep. Um so anyway. It's based out of Mexico, the day of the game. They got a fly in, play the game, and play the game fly back fly out that same day, right?
SPEAKER_02So they're not allowed in the country.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And it's uh and it's uh denied entry to, I think, I think I heard like 15 other staff members as well. Aren't even killed.
SPEAKER_02Three of them were new Isatolas that try to sneak in. Yeah, sure, yeah. But that's well, that's just it, right? He's like almost a goat.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but they're getting you know, not that Iran was expected to win the World Cup, but they're getting screwed.
SPEAKER_02Wouldn't it be something if they did? Wouldn't it be something if they did? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I get it, I'm not supporting the Iranian regime. I'm not sure. No, no, no. Those guys are soccer players and coming to play again. We're supporting athletes. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And uh, you know what? Like Iran's complaining. Hang on a second. You motherfuckers killed your own athletes. Okay, so you know, everybody says, shut up. Like you literally killed uh one of the best ever wrestlers in the world and killed his brother, I believe, as well. And no, allegedly it happened. Dana White tried to step in and save him. Yeah, for protesting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, some young athlete, I can't remember what sport, same thing. Yeah, it was well.
SPEAKER_02That's why, you know, when they're bitching and complaining, you could shove it up your ass because you guys kill your own athletes for no reason, right?
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, again, the regime, pieces of shit.
SPEAKER_02Pieces of human garbage. Well, yeah. Right? And no, allegedly we know that first. Allegedly. Yeah, yeah, that's right. Go to hell.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02All right, so this is interesting. And I'm mad, Mike.
SPEAKER_03Top five, Iran. There's no way our podcast will be allowed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's right. Or or it'd be one of these. It'll be one of these. We have been treated well. Yeah, that's right. Things are going okay. They feed us every day. That's right. That's not funny, but kinda. Listen, I
Iran Team Travel Limits And Politics
SPEAKER_02have Lemon Heath Mafia friends. We will get away. All right, so yeah. Okay. All right, now. This is where I'm gonna get mad, Mike. No, I'm not mad yet. You're right, I'm not. We have this new thing Mark Carney brought in. It's called the New Grocery Benefit and Essentials. Okay. So what it is, it's basically replacing the uh HST and GST. Okay. So uh just curious, Mike. Do you know how many people live in Canada, bro? For you to guess. Uh don't worry, I know.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, 40 million?
SPEAKER_02Pretty good guess. It's about 41 million. Yeah. Right. Okay. Now this is the part that bothered me. So this new grocery benefit, which basically says that groceries are too much money and lights and power too much money, so they're gonna give you extra money throughout the year. Um 25% of Canadians qualify for that, Mike. That's 12 million people. That is way too many effing people, if you ask me, that need extra help. That's eight, 25% of the population that's getting extra money because we don't make enough. Or they don't make enough. That's nuts.
SPEAKER_00That is.
SPEAKER_02That's I'm sorry. You got two and a half million people going to food banks? That's nuts, too. This is Canada, man. Well, anyway.
SPEAKER_03Hey man, global global economies are in fucking in a shit.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is a depression, is what they're saying, mate. And I'm depressed just thinking about it.
SPEAKER_03Well, I you know, they came out, they said something, and I think they've come back and said like it does not meet the technical definition of the.
SPEAKER_02No, but we're certainly down a little bit.
SPEAKER_03We are down. Our economy's down. I mean, fuck, like go outside and pay for gas or go buy something at the grocery store. The cost has gone up a crazy amount, and people's wages aren't matching it, right?
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm getting real good at? Stealing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I bet.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's funny.
SPEAKER_03No, but you say that, but I can see it. Theft is probably on the rise.
SPEAKER_02I bet it is. Or people, you know, what once you get 65, oh, I didn't know I put those batteries in my pocket.
SPEAKER_03Listen, man, I saw something the other day. He said, if you were born between this this year and this year, you you could qualify for this senior benefit. And it's like, What? I was like, it was like the the end year was 76. I'm like, fuck off. I was born in 76. I can go qualify qualify for some senior benefit. It's like something very it's not right it's not something I can qualify for because I'm bullshit AI. Because I also I don't meet the uh the income requirements.
SPEAKER_02Right, right, right, right. Yeah, because you made just a bit above minimum wage.
SPEAKER_03Pretty much, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Good on you.
SPEAKER_03Which it says it's a sad state of affairs that we're in that that there's that many people that are living that are living below what they could do. There's people that get that, right? A livable wage, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's about twelve hundred dollars. Twelve hundred dollars is what they're getting. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Hey man, people need it.
SPEAKER_02No shit, man. That's the problem. Yeah, and I have no problem with you giving it, good on you, but I don't know it's not I don't. I I I wish we didn't have that many people who needed it.
SPEAKER_03You wish we didn't have that many people who needed it, and then are they gonna sacrifice other services to pay for that, or are they just gonna put us further in debt, which is gonna create bigger issues down the road for that?
SPEAKER_02Well, somebody just told me that the the power company just raised its uh uh whatever they call it, the price on kilowatts, whatever.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so they've they got is that true? So this has happened a little while ago. So they have to apply through whatever board it is, and uh like if you remember at the time, Houston was like adamant that that uh because the board approved it and he was adamant that he goes, You guys are just so out of touch with like what's going on. Yeah, yeah. Which is why they keep saying, like, you gotta you know, Nova Scotia Power monopoli monopolizes the power here, and so they need competition, right? To like get those power costs down because it's ridiculous. It is ridiculous, considering you know the fact that they had a cyber attack and all that shit happening like and all the crap that came along with it.
SPEAKER_02It's still going on, it's not over. People are still gonna.
SPEAKER_03There's there's there's just more to it, right?
SPEAKER_02So yes, sir. That's the problem. You're right.
SPEAKER_03The reality of it, man. It's unfortunate.
SPEAKER_02It is unfortunate because a lot of people are getting hurt by it, right?
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, you look at what did you tell like you're doing you're doing, you told me what you were doing, and a lot of people are doing the same thing. You're keeping your house temperature lower than what you'd want it to be, so that your power bill's not fucking ridiculous in the winter.
SPEAKER_02I had no idea. Right? And remember when you came to the house, you're like, oh, it's toasty in here. Like, yeah. Yeah, that's from what I first time I came over. I was like, oh, think about it.
SPEAKER_03You just you you came from Malaysia, so you're like, that's this is nice and comfortable.
SPEAKER_02Still wearing a sweater in your house at like 30 degrees. Yeah, I was like, like sweating, like, what's the matter, Mike? It's hot in here, man. Yeah, well, you know, that's how I get my dates to take the clothes off. That's right. Still hot in here, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01I had no idea.
SPEAKER_02Uh anyway, that's pretty funny. Yeah, it was kind of warm in there, right? It was warm, yeah. If everybody's hearing noise, freezing in there. If everybody's hearing noise, it's it's what uh Mike's cat trying to dig to China through the cardboard uh box there.
SPEAKER_03He's so we've got all these cat toys, we've got all these different things. Right now he's in a cardboard. Playing with a plastic spoon. Playing with a plastic spoon. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, literally $3,000 worth of the high-tech cat toys around the house. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. And he's using none of them. He's playing with nipped up. All right, so here's the weird one. All right, so immigration has Canadian immigration has put out a fraud warning, Mike. Okay. Okay. Now here's what they're saying, they're saying you gotta be careful of relationships of convenience.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Hey, Shinequa. Is ours a relationship of convenience? Or do you love me for me and not my money?
SPEAKER_00Don't answer.
SPEAKER_02There's your answer, Mike. So I think I'm okay. Convenience is what she said. All right. Yeah. You know where you're sleeping tonight. Yeah. Probably with my best friend again. Anyway, so yeah, I mean, okay. How lonely are people, Mike? Right? That you know, you now listen.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, remember there's, you know, back then the the mail order brides was something. That was real. It was real, right?
SPEAKER_02That was real. I just saw, don't even ask me how I saw that. My algorithm somehow. I'm not looking for it's fine, baby. Just put the knife away. I'm not looking for anybody right now, but it came in, it was so showing how few men there are in Latvia.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's like five to one.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02So all the Latvia girls, and they're all blonde and blue eyes. So I'm like, where's that catalog? Yeah. Right?
SPEAKER_03But yeah, five to one women to men, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. And all the ladies are like, hey, you know, what's up?
SPEAKER_03Oh they're all happy.
SPEAKER_02Probably. A lot of lesbians are. I did see this too. I I think it's Major League Baseball that said no to Pride Month. They're not gonna celebrate it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, oh uh oh, yeah, you better watch that. Yeah, I don't know if that's true. It better not be AI. Burned us, but I saw that. Said they're the only one that's not gonna celebrate it. Okay, yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03I didn't I didn't see that, no. Because I remember was
Canada Grocery Benefit And Cost Of Living
SPEAKER_03it the NHL was it uh anyway. I don't know if it was last year, a couple of years ago, where like some players were saying they weren't gonna wear, they didn't want to wear the jerseys, right?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I heard that one too. You said yeah, so that doesn't yeah, anyway. Yeah, hey, you're allowed to do what you want, I guess, unless the team says you have to absolutely wear it, right? So I could that's right, it could be in your contract. Yeah, dry hot summer, Mike. So here's the thing you know, everybody keeps oh, it's gonna be so hot, so hot. Do you know what the average temperature in July has been over the last 3,000 years in Nova Scotia?
SPEAKER_0325?
SPEAKER_0223. August, when it gets twenty five, twenty four. There you go, right? That's the average. So they say, Oh. It can get up to 32. I'm like, so when does it get hot? Right? 32 is not hot. Like, maybe to you, marshmallows. Right? Is 32 hot, Mike, be honest?
SPEAKER_03Yes, in our climate it is. Yes. It is.
SPEAKER_02Shut up. What? You said yes?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02I knew he'd say yes. He's right. 32 is hot, but I lived in Dubai, I was 50. Yeah. Lived in Kuwait, 48. Yeah. Living Malaysia, 40.
SPEAKER_03No, 32 is hot, man.
SPEAKER_0232 is hot. I'll still be wearing it.
SPEAKER_03So throw the humidex in there, you're getting into the 40s.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'd be wearing those those uh old timey long underwears with the with the buttons in the front and the back, you know, to let your shit out.
SPEAKER_03So that's I guess that's it, eh? Like when you were in Dubai, 30 40 was 40. 40 wasn't 60, right?
SPEAKER_02Like well, here's the thing. In in Dubai, the the the rule is anybody working outdoors, if it gets above 50 degrees, you don't have to work. 49 for the years I was there. Only 49 as high as it is.
SPEAKER_00Interesting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and the big clock, 49. Truck says 54, 52.
SPEAKER_03But I mean, there's theirs is like, you know, you go back and you look at all the development. Dude, it's so hard. You look at all the studies and stuff. That that is too hot to be worked. Dude, yeah. Especially if you're talking about it.
SPEAKER_02It's gonna get to 50. It's too hot at 35 in Australia. Yeah. Right? And Australia actually has a law for school teachers. If it's over 30 degrees, you don't need to wear a tie. Oh, and I mean that was 20 years ago.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say that, yeah, that's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, now like I've seen teachers go into school, you don't have to wear pants.
SPEAKER_03Right?
SPEAKER_02You know, shorts might not. Yeah, I know what you mean. Not speedoes. Well, man, there might be some speedos too for the swim coach.
SPEAKER_03I mean it always reminds me of that uh like you're smuggling grapes. That uh commercial when I was living in New Zealand. Oh, which one? Where the guy's in like Speedoes, and it's uh he's walking from the he's at the beach and it's like tugs, togs, tugs, and then you get like further away from the beach he gets, like he keeps saying togs. Then he gets like too far away from the beach and he's like almost at a restaurant, it's like undies. Tugs, togs, togs, undies. It's appropriate at the beach, but don't be wearing it at some fish. Don't be wearing it to school or wearing it. It's the same with uh bike shorts. Like, yeah, I have no problem with bike shorts, but sometimes when you're at a cafe and somebody comes by and they're fucking you know, Moose knuckles hanging out, like I'm gonna do you one better.
SPEAKER_02I I saw a video the other day that was going around, and but you know, it's a prank. But he's wearing the bike shorts and he's got something in there, right? But he's like, so like if the girls are on the bench, he's like this looking at his phone, like you know, so and the best part is there's another camera. Oh, yeah, pitching the reactor. Oh, yeah, and the the girls are like trying not to look, but they're all and then the girl takes her phone, she's like, and then they walk like the elbow, you know, just as dirty as the fellas. But yeah, it was fucking hilarious, this guy. I'm like, buddy, and so many, even guys were like, like look at oh yeah, just unreal. Tony Pepperoni, you call that fellow. Look, they had a loaf of bread in his pants. Yes, yes, yeah. Anyway, pretty funny. Pretty funny.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh, let's see. All right, well, this is interesting, Mike. We were talking about this earlier. The aspiration co-founder, the guy that was uh putting the money in for uh Kawhi Leonard, and uh what's the owner's name? The white.
SPEAKER_03Steve Balmer. Steve Balmer.
SPEAKER_02Steve, Steve, he might be going to prison too. So anyway, the head of appellation, he uh defrauded $248 million of his people's money, so he's going to jail. And now they're really looking into the $28 million that that company gave Kawhi, or sorry, gave uh Steve to circumvent the salary cap for Kawhi Leonard with the 28 mil. So I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I told you I thought that they actually either they were or they have already interviewed Kawhi, right?
SPEAKER_02So not good. Not good. I mean, he might be off the hook, but the man who gave the money might not be. Another dirty white guy in the business of reality. It's a lot of money, eh?
SPEAKER_03$28 million. It's a lot of money, man. Like it's it's uh big bucks. You look back and you kind of look and say, Kawhi took the, you know, took that Raptors team and won a championship with them. Yeah, left to go back home to LA and it's been nothing but cr crap ever since he left. Like, yeah. So was it a mistake for Kawhi to leave Toronto? As as at the time, it didn't seem like it. They Toronto knew they were renting them for a year, but I think they thought, like, hey man, we just won a championship. Maybe like that's enough to change his mind. Nope. Didn't care. Obviously not, man. Didn't care. And that extra 28 million. But I mean, I remember at the time, like restaurants saying, you know, if you stay, eat for life, free, you know what I mean? Like so many. Yeah, I know, right? Well, that's what these guys all get all this money and they never pay for anything.
SPEAKER_02No, they don't pay for anything. Right.
SPEAKER_03Who did I? I can't remember who I saw. I think we talked about this before where there was some celebrity doing an interview. And being a celebrity sometimes is great because you don't pay for anything. Yeah. Everybody's Johnny Depp. Hey, sir, come on, all on us, sir, all on us, right?
SPEAKER_02Although the Johnny Depp one's the one that got me. Uh years and years ago, they always asked Johnny Depp, like on the red card, why is your style so cool? And he goes, What? Oh, yeah. He goes, they just send me stuff. Yeah. And he says, I just wear it. He goes, if it doesn't fit, I just roll it up. I don't care. Everybody's like, What? He goes, Yeah, no style. I'm just I gotta wear it. So well, that's what a lot of like uh like a lot of those red carpet looks.
SPEAKER_03There's all people just wearing designers' uh dresses and stuff that the designer has like said, Hey, I want to showcase this. Will you wear my dress? So they team up with the oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02So oh, you look beautiful tonight, Michael. What are you wearing? Yeah, Walmart.
SPEAKER_03That's right.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_03Okay, what whatever. Dance from Old Navy, shirt from Mark Mark's work warehouse. Uh huh. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, and I had these socks. It's Christ was a carpenter. That's it. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Underwear only has about four holes in them so far. That's pretty good, though. What you said.
SPEAKER_02The old navy's the hoodie. Why why can't we see a celebrity? Keanu Reason do that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know who would Adam Sandler.
SPEAKER_02Well, dude, they just they roasted him a recent, well, not real roast, but they roasted him. He went somewhere in a fucking hoodie and shorts. Yeah, he was at uh whatever. But at one of those award shows.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. He didn't care at all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Wow, what are you doing? Making fun of the way I dress. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It was like the Fetterman, the guy in the uh uh party against Trump that always wears hoodies and shorts. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. But yeah, anyway, whatever.
SPEAKER_03Whatever, man. I think, like I told you before, I think that the day of wearing a suit me, you know, meaning more than what it, you know, then just optics is gone, right? So making a first impression matters, but I don't think it's not it's not as uh not as not as big of a deal as it used to be, right?
SPEAKER_02It doesn't seem to be. It doesn't seem to be. I mean, you look around and you're like, what do you do? Hedge fund manager? Well, yeah, I I saw something else that was funny too. They showed like uh people who think they're rich, and it shows them wearing like Hugo Boss and Armani, then it shows like uh Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg all wearing like a t-shirt and holes under his sweatpants. They got nothing to prove. No, right? What do they care? All right, so this is interesting. Well, let's go with uh we'll go with this first. So the Spurs first game. All right, so Spurs, New York first game. What'd you think?
SPEAKER_03I thought it was exactly what I was expecting. Good game. I thought, I thought up and down. I thought that uh both teams would be nervous, but New York being uh the veteran team would have more poise and and that that's true. Because, you know, if you look at both games, there haven't been like massive offensive outpourings. Like we've seen the Knicks put up with points or whatever in a game, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. So um yeah, so it was no, it was it was game one, exactly what I expected. Uh
Immigration Scams And Convenience Relationships
SPEAKER_03interesting kind of like choices on on who they put on Wemby and how that's working out fantastic. Um, yeah, no, I thought it was I thought it was really good.
SPEAKER_02And then game two, no, no, wait, wait, it was good too. Stay game one, stay game one. So for me, I wanted to see what they were gonna do with Wemby. Like, okay, how are you gonna you're gonna keep him away from the basket? Are you gonna try to body him up? What are you gonna do? Because he's you know, dick and ribs, right? Easy to move around. Yep. But uh Kat's done a hell of a job. Well, that's just Carl Anthony Towns. You the man, you the man.
SPEAKER_03So I I kind of thought that Anobi would be guarding him, but it's no, yeah, I know, right?
SPEAKER_02So I don't know how they'd flip a coin on that one in the locker room. Well, maybe, maybe.
SPEAKER_03Towns said no, miss. Listen, man, because Towns has a real bad tendency. Oh, I got him. I hope he's gonna be. He has been. We're only two games in, but you know.
SPEAKER_02That's right. There's only two more left, money. It could be, yeah. Anyway, but yeah, I I thought, you know, maybe a little rusty game one, so I figured I'd give I literally gave New York gonna win game one. I figured I've told you that, right? So I said, all right. So, but game two, I figured, okay. Spurs will come out now. What can we say about that game? Once again, Car Anthony Towns, the hero again. Right? But what do you think? Game two.
SPEAKER_03I think it's uh it's the same thing. It's San Antonio's just their age is showing they're making stupid, stupid offensive choices down the stretch.
SPEAKER_02I will say this though.
SPEAKER_03Now everybody everybody wants to talk about Wemby in the turnover and the missed shot, but I will talk about the last shot in a second. But uh, but the it's it's not it's not just that, it's leading up to it. Like it's yeah, they're just not making New York looks much more poised, they're moving the ball better, like it's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, they're really moving the ball away.
SPEAKER_03Wemby's tired, you see it at the end of the day. Yeah, he's tired, right? Like yeah, he's settling instead of going to the basket, he's settling, right?
SPEAKER_02Yep, yeah. You know, if you got, you know, yeah, you you've won if you got a seven and a half foot dude shooting three pointers.
SPEAKER_03I saw what did I see? And I thought that's a guy, maybe it was Jay Williams. I can't remember. Somebody was saying the one of the worst things that probably happened to Wemby so far in the playoffs was that game against OKC where we get that really long three. And everybody's like, oh, Wemby's like Wemby's the guy, he's him. Wemby shoots like 32% correct. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, he's not a three-point shooter. And like that was really far out. So now Wemby in his head thinks, Did it did it, wait a minute, this is my shot. I am that guy, right? It's gonna be eventually, sure. He's only 22, but he's not it's not yet, and he's settling for those uh longer, longer shots right now, right?
SPEAKER_02So yeah, I mean you're not gonna win if you're not under the basket with him anyway.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what are you doing? I mean, he had how many points? 29 in game two or whatever, right? But still, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And 22 of them came in the second half. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was horrible in the first half, right?
SPEAKER_02Um, I will say this though, if you watch that game two, the first half, young people, that's called defense. Pretty impressive. Both sides, both sides, pretty impressive, both are pretty decent, pretty impressive.
SPEAKER_03Pretty decent defensive teams, right?
SPEAKER_02Dude, they're like, well, here's the other thing, too. Like, I'm sure everybody's talking about this. I haven't watched a lot of this sports in the last couple of days because I've been busy, but uh Wimby causes you to change everything.
SPEAKER_00Everything.
SPEAKER_02Like, you you why and I wasn't paying too much attention to it but I I saw a short clip of how many guys are going in and nope, then right back, I'm like, oh, there's a lot of things people don't see, even with his hands not up. People are like, no, fuck that. Because he can use it.
SPEAKER_03He can alter so many things you have the space, and he's so that's the thing is you actually seven and a half. Like Wemby's a good defensive player, but he's not a great defensive player. He's just so long.
SPEAKER_02Yep, it doesn't have to be because he made mistakes. Exactly, right?
SPEAKER_03So imagine if that guy actually like starts to learn positions even better. Like you know, he's gonna be so scary, right?
SPEAKER_02You know what the best part I like about
Hot Summer Debate And Heat Reality
SPEAKER_02him right now is he's he's not swatting it, he's trying to pin it. Yeah, because that's not gonna get you possession, right? Like grab the ball.
SPEAKER_03That was that was something that was like, you know, back in the day, man, everybody wanted to have that big swat, swat it up and down. Sixth row, that makes you look good, right? And then people started, then all of a sudden you started getting these guys, like, yeah, that would be no, like look, they're putting it to the backcourt or just or they're just blocking it gently so the ball stays there, right? They're not trying to swat it out every now and then. Send a message, you gotta send it into the stand, sure.
SPEAKER_02That's right. Every now and then. Um every now and then. Uh here's the big thing for me. They said uh Popovich gonna be on the bench in game three.
SPEAKER_03I feel really bad for the coach, the current coach of San Antonio.
SPEAKER_02Glad you said something because that's what I was thinking too. It's like, why are you saying basically you can't cut it? Well, you had a bunch of bad.
SPEAKER_03Like, it's it's every question is about Pop's influence on the team. Pop's just like what does that do to the coach to be like, right? Hey man, this is my team. Like, that's great that Pop built built the foundation.
SPEAKER_02Like, I'm wondering if Popovich is running the show.
SPEAKER_03Well, he obviously wasn't, right? Like, but I mean he ha has Wemby's here, you can see. Yeah. So anyway, it's uh I I do feel bad for that coach. The guy coaching in his in his first NBA finals, all the talk is about Pop, right? Coach better.
SPEAKER_02You're in trouble, man. Knicks are too good.
SPEAKER_03Well, we talked, so this is going back to what we said with the final shot of game two. To me wide open. Wide open. Yeah, but the to me, the they they they had six or seven seconds left to get a shot off. They used up almost the whole clock, and they had Wemby taking it from the elbow. Yep. Like to me, let the other guy, I can't even remember his name, the guy that was actually playing really well, that like was shooting really well in that game for San Antonio. I can't believe it. Let him take the shot and have Wemby in there to get an offensive rebound and get the shot away quicker to give Wemby a chance to get that.
SPEAKER_02He's sets and then he could foul if he did right.
SPEAKER_03Like you put him in there, put him underneath the battery.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is why I'm saying coach better because that was shitty coaching because you're right. Well, you just said you get the ball at foul, you get the ball back again, game's not over, you're up two, three. What are you doing? Yeah, but okay, so now here we go. I've had it. So, Ernie, Shaq, Kenny, who's the other son of a Barkley, Chuck.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, here's what they keep saying, Mike, and it's driving me nuts. So I did some research. I've had about enough of you guys. All right.
SPEAKER_01So they keep saying, oh, they came back for 15 points down, oh God's America, oh, they came back for 12 points down.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Mr. Michael, I'm gonna ask you a question. How many games this past season, not including playoffs, do you think it came down to comebacks of 15 points or more?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I don't know, man. Give me the number, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's way more than you think. Yeah. It's 25 to 30 percent of the games.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So fuck off and stop saying, oh, that never happens. It happens all the time.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's more so they're still talking about right. They're they they're not getting out of there. It's their generation of basketball. It's a new, it's a new it, yeah. Look at look at last year. How many times this year?
SPEAKER_02Just this year, well over 300 games.
SPEAKER_03How many times NDA came back in the playoffs in games last year?
SPEAKER_02Right. And it's happening again. But my point is it's not uncommon. It's way more common than uncommon almost. Well, it's not percentage-wise, but you know. Listen, 90% of the time, I'm right, 100% of the time.
SPEAKER_03I I get probably where they're coming from. Like, this is the NBA Finals, like, lock it down, guys. Like, this is it. Like you have four games.
SPEAKER_02Oh, what a comic. It happens way too much for you to say that because I can think of every game that's gonna be a good thing.
SPEAKER_03You shouldn't be calling it a miracle or whatever, but I think you can sit there and go, come on, guys, like this is the NBA Finals. You're the last two teams standing. Big runs like that, like should be.
SPEAKER_02Okay, okay. That's what's astounding to me. Like all these games, 12-2 run, 10-0-1. How? How the fuck do you miss like all of a sudden for five minutes straight? So that's basketball.
SPEAKER_03Basketball is always basketball is always a game of runs. It is, always has, even when we were younger, even when the rules were different, it's always a game of runs. But there's seeing runs now where it's like you you're saying 10 to 12 to 2. That's a typical run. What we're seeing now is we're seeing runs of like 27 to 5. Yeah, you know what I mean? It's like, holy shit, what's going on here? That's that's crazy, right?
SPEAKER_02I'm screaming timeouts. Yeah. From the so timeout! Yeah, we're out. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So that that's what I feel like. It's those big runs now that are ridiculous that you never used to see. But that's that's because of the threes, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's exactly right. Get rid of that. Okay, now. Well, listen up, Mike. We might be in luck. The Lakers are looking for somebody at Portland, you know. Yeah. The Lakers are looking for rumor mills are running, the Lakers. They're running. I like I like this one.
SPEAKER_03Steph Curry, Steph Curry, uh Giannis, LeBron, Luca, Austin Reeves are all next year.
SPEAKER_02No, no, they're all going to Memphis. Oh, right. Sure. For John Morant. Oh, yeah, for John Morant. Sounds like a pretty good deal. And uh two of his buddies and his rifle collection. That's right. Yeah. His rifle collection.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I keep forgetting about that. Uh, the whole off scene is gonna be dominated by what the Lakers are gonna do now.
SPEAKER_02Well, okay, well, here's the one that's gonna have fun. I didn't put one.
SPEAKER_03Or let's but let's let's not say Lakers. Let's say if LeBron comes out quick and says, I'm not going, I'm not going back to the Lakers, I'm gonna tell, you know, I'm gonna test free agency.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Um There are gonna be some pile of news.
SPEAKER_03And I'm gonna, you know, like it's not the Lakers, it's gonna be somewhere else. Like then it'll, you know, it'll be dominated by their things. But if LeBron decides that he's gonna stay with LA, it'll just be nothing but what are the Lakers gonna do. And then they'll sit there and they'll crown them the champions before the season even starts. And then the Lakers will finish like, you know, they'll finish like third or fourth in the West and get beat out in the first or second round again, right? Anyway.
SPEAKER_02Well, not if they get this player.
SPEAKER_03You can tell I have confidence in them.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know. But once they tell you this, you'll be, oh, we'll go change your mind.
SPEAKER_03Well, we'll see.
SPEAKER_02Robert Williams III from Portland. He's a good rebounder, defender, and we can get him for 15 million. He's a free agent right now. Right? We don't have to give up anybody. Now they do, though.
SPEAKER_03They can't sign him for 15 million and not and and still give LeBron what LeBron's gonna want.
SPEAKER_02Well, we're gonna we'll we'll see about him in a minute. You know who else they're looking at? They want Lou Dort, but uh Shay says no. Yeah, Shay says not happening. I'm keeping him no matter what. So, yeah, so that's all I got for the Lakers. But what what I'm watching now is I saw uh I saw one today which is just hilarious. They got Durant going somewhere, they got Giannis going somewhere.
SPEAKER_03I don't think it'd be interesting after all the shit that happened in Houston last year with Durant. I just I just don't see him going back to Houston. I see him wanting out for getting away. Oh, yeah, that's what they said.
SPEAKER_02They got him going. They got him going to Memphis with uh Kyrie Irving. Yeah, yeah. There's a whole bunch of mess going on.
SPEAKER_03Why is who what's Dallas giving up? Oh, you should see it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there's just somebody playing around, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it all fits in the cap. So Memphis, why would Memphis? Why would Memphis go back to the back? I'm gonna take Kyrie and KD, who are both on the the backside of their career.
SPEAKER_02Oh, no, no, and one more. Uh uh Fred Van Fleet is also gonna go another Achilles injury. All three of them with Achilles injuries. What are you guys doing?
SPEAKER_03You get nobody's so nobody's taking Van Fleet's contract. No, unless it's on an expiring year. Right, right. And then they won't even do that until some teams figure out that okay, this year's a bust. Let's get an expiring contract to make some cap space for next year, right? Yeah. So Van Fleet's not going anywhere. Oh, I know, that's what I mean. Memphis. I'm just sitting there going, like, Memphis would never like would not give up. They would not go and try to win now with KD and Brooklyn tried that. Look at how miserable it was.
SPEAKER_02I I did see two serious ones though. Pat Raleigh wants Giannis and uh the Warriors are looking at Giannis.
SPEAKER_03So Giannis, I could see I I bought I still say Giannis, I just don't see Giannis playing in the system at Golden State. Uh which is why we do well in Miami, because I think I think Miami, that heat culture and spolstra, like to me, I can see that working. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Well, remember, he has to take all the baggage with him, the six brothers and three uncles and two dogs and the goat.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Miami's a good family organization.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, sure. As long as you don't marry the women down there, like Ilya Taporia. Yeah. Oh, it's the UFC guy who married some crazy lady, took all his money. Oh, okay. Yeah. Poor guy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. What are you gonna do?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What are you gonna do? So, oh wait, okay. So yeah.
SPEAKER_03He must have done something for her to be able to take her money, take his money.
SPEAKER_02Well, he he divorced her.
NBA Finals Spurs Knicks Breakdown
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He had to he had to step down for a while. He gave his belt up and everything. Oh, such a headache. Yeah, yeah. Well, she tried to sue, she tried to sue Joe Rogan too, because Joe Rogan called her some names or something. Oh, you can't can't marry those Miami girls, boys. We all know what they're like. It's like, yikes.
SPEAKER_03That's not bad, but yeah. Yeah, anyway.
SPEAKER_02Apparently it's a known thing. I don't live in Miami. I wouldn't have known, yeah. I wouldn't know either. Yeah. Still worried about my powder blue Ferrari that's coming.
SPEAKER_03That's right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so Tom Five, sir. USA, China, Finland.
SPEAKER_03Canada?
SPEAKER_02Canada. Canada.
SPEAKER_03China and Canada combined?
SPEAKER_02Nah, China. Okay, yeah. No, here's why, because uh when I was in the Middle East, all the kids, sir, are you from Canada? I was like, Yep, I am. Canada. China, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Finland's number three.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Finland's always up there, man.
SPEAKER_02I don't know why they like us.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Do we that the flowing blonde locks that you have there underneath that head underneath that hat?
SPEAKER_02Could be my chest here, you know.
SPEAKER_03That's it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh Brazil, number four.
SPEAKER_03Oh, nice. Yeah, good.
SPEAKER_02Carnival. And of course, the Netherlands.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what we said about the Netherlands.
SPEAKER_03Our Southeast fans, Southeast Asian fans are all gone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that didn't take much.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_02Uh they didn't like the powder blue fur anyway. I guess not.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, don't make fun.
SPEAKER_02What are you gonna do? Alright, so uh that's it for today, everybody. We're gonna go outside to the drizzly and terrible weather, and hopefully uh summer's gonna come this week. We'll see, supposed to be up 24, 25.
SPEAKER_03Thursday was nice. Thursday or Friday? That's pretty solid. No, Friday was nice. Pretty solid. Yeah, Friday was like 26, 27 degrees. That's nice.
